About me and my therapy practice

If you need to talk I’m here to listen. I’m a friendly and approachable experienced counselling professional. I work online providing UK wide counselling services via Zoom & phone. How can I help you?

Please note I work individually with adult clients.

At times life can be very challenging. If you need to talk things through with an experienced professional do get in touch. I am by nature a good listener, empathic and non-judgmental. I believe it essential that you feel valued, heard and understood.

Counselling professional :

I’m a qualified Person Centred counsellor with over six years full-time experience & a good track record of success. Registered with the BACP, I am committed to working ethically to provide the highest standards of counselling for clients.

My values and character - I’ve always had a strong drive to help and heal people. I hate seeing any living creature in pain. It’s very rewarding to see clients making progress and having successful therapeutic outcomes. Its great to see someone smile again. I’m naturally empathic and genuine.

Your choice:

You have the choice of having sessions via Zoom or phone. More recently I've noticed the majority of my clients prefer online counselling via Zoom. Often clients like to have phone therapy via WhatsApp as it is secure and saves money compared to usual phone calls. Additionally, I can offer face to face sessions in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Supportive session atmosphere:

The atmosphere of our counselling sessions is friendly and informal. You’ll have a confidential & safe space where you can feel valued, heard, understood & accepted. You choose what you want to discuss. You choose how much you want to share. We work at your pace.

Practice description

Is this the right therapy for you?

Is Person Centred therapy right for you? - Person Centred therapy can be highly effective for a client who wants to discuss, explore and understand. I believe that we all have great potential and more inner resources than we realise, but it can often be difficult to access this by ourselves. Person Centred therapy can help you gain new insights into your problems and how to solve them. I aim to help clients develop the ability to withstand adversity, effect positive change and bounce back from difficult life events. Clients often say they feel so much better to be able to offload - I wonder if you feel like that?

Uniqueness and shared experience :

We all have our own unique story and experiences. Indeed, Person Centred therapy comes from a humanistic tradition which values each of us as the unique individuals we are. Additionally, I have often found common themes come up in the therapy room that may have affected many of us at one point or another - for example issues around feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, loneliness, work, stress, health, self esteem, being stuck, relationships etc. Counselling gives you an opportunity to explore what is causing you distress and help you find resolution. Clients often report feeling better when they recognise:

· A sense of progress

· Feeling heard and understood

· They work well with their therapist

· Gaining new coping skills

· Starting to experience positive changes in their life

· Feeling better able to manage their emotions and behaviour

· Feeling empowered and more in control of their life

Clients often tell me it's good to be able to talk to someone who is not family or friends.

I'd like to hear about what has brought you to counselling, and what you would like from counselling.

I usually suggest trying a session and see how it feels. If it feels right for you we can book in further sessions. There is no obligation to continue if you didn’t think I was the right counsellor for you.

About me and my therapy practice

If you need to talk I'm hear to listen. I'm a friendly and approachable person-centred counsellor providing therapy on a UK wide basis online via Zoom & by phone. I work with adult clients one to one. I offer a compassionate atmosphere where you have space to discuss whatever is on your mind. Our sessions are confidential - you choose what you want to talk about in therapy. We work at a pace you feel comfortable with.

I am by nature a good listener, empathic and non-judgmental. I believe it essential that you feel valued, supported, heard and understood.

Sessions last for 50 minutes. I charge £55 per session.

Our first session is a great opportunity to see how compatible we are to take a therapeutic journey together. During this first appointment, I'd like to understand what has brought you to counselling. I'd also like to understand your aspirations for therapy. We'll also have the chance to discuss the more practical elements of our sessions - things like appointment times, fees and confidentiality.

We all have our unique story and unique experiences, yet I have often found recurring themes arise in the therapy room that have affected many of us at one point or another - for example issues around feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, loneliness, work, stress, health, self-esteem, being stuck, relationships etc. While these issues can leave us feeling isolated, they’re much more common than you may initially believe. Counselling gives us the opportunity to examine what exactly is causing you distress and help you to find resolution.

Being a counselling professional, I am a registered member of the BACP. As a person centred therapist, I'll support you so that you can develop the right approach for your unique situation. I aim to help you strengthen your resilience and ability to cope, resolve inner conflict, and overcome obstacles.
