About me and my therapy practice

I offer a confidential, empathic service to enable you to explore your issues and worries, whilst supporting you to recognise and build on your own strengths and resources.

We are all unique, and so are our reasons for starting therapy. I believe that counselling and psychotherapy give us a chance to build a better understanding of ourselves and our relationships.

I am an integrative counsellor, this means that I am able to draw my theoretical knowledge from the counselling approaches of existential, cognitive behavioural (CBT), humanistic and psychodynamic.

I work with this knowledge, offering counselling that emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor, whilst using skills and techniques that are appropriate for each individual. I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults and counselling for children and young people. I work with from a consulting room in Salisbury city centre.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision to qualified counsellors, counselling students, and practitioners from other professional backgrounds. I aim to provide my supervisee's with a reflective, supportive and ethically mindful space. I place an emphasis on the importance of realness and compassion in my work, promoting a human approach with strong professional boundaries.

I am an integrative therapist, with a person centred approach to my supervision. My original Diploma was psychodynamic, I now use this theoretically to inform my practice, but not in process. My experience covers supervising counsellors working  in primary and secondary schools, colleges, voluntary organisations and private practice. Practitioners from other backgrounds include wellbeing staff, safeguarding officers and refuge staff.

I hold a PG Certificate in Counselling Supervision from the University of Gloucester and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision from KRCS. My Supervision practice is based on an integration of three supervision models, Inskipp & Proctor's (1995) functional model, Page & Wosket's (2001) cyclical model and Hawkins and Shohet's (1989/2001) seven eyed model.
