About me and my therapy practice
I offer outdoor, online or telephone counselling.
We are all unique, and so are our reasons for starting therapy. I believe that counselling gives us a chance to build a better understanding of ourselves and our relationships. I offer a confidential, empathic space to enable you to explore your issues and worries, whilst supporting you to recognise and build on your own strengths and resources.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I am able to draw my theoretical knowledge from the counselling approaches of person-centred, cognitive behavioral (CBT), exisitential and psychodynamic.
I work with this knowledge, offering counselling that emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor, whilst using skills and techniques that are appropriate for each individual.
Practice description
The counselling provisions that I provide are listed below:
Online and Telephone Counselling
This can be both short and long term, supporting and facilitating you to cope with life changes, overwhelming feelings and transitions.
Walk and Talk Counselling
A counselling session that takes place at a suitable location outside. These sessions take a similar format to indoor work, in terms of the focus being on the client’s therapeutic work. But with the advantage of being in the natural world. All initial sessions take place online or on the telephone.
Eco Therapeutic Approach counselling
I can also provide counselling that is embedded in nature, focusing on your own connection to the natural world, working with specific nature-based techniques and exercises, I have developed my nature therapy practice based on the concept that we are not separate from nature, but part of it.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision to qualified counsellors, counselling students, and to practitioners from other professional backgrounds.
I can provide supervision on the telephone, online or outside at suitably assessed locations.
I am an integrative therapist, with a person-centred approach to my supervision practice. My original Diploma was psychodynamic, I now use this theory to inform my practice, but not in process.
I aim to provide my supervisee's with a reflective, supportive and ethically mindful space. I place an emphasis on the importance of realness and compassion in my work, promoting a human approach with strong professional boundaries.
Practice description
My Supervision practice is based on an integration of two supervision models, Inskipp & Proctor's (1995) functional model and Hawkins and Shohet's (1989/2001) seven eyed model. I hold a PG Certificate in Supervision from KRCS, certified by the University of Gloucester in 2012. I gained an Advanced Diploma in supervision in 2014 accredited by NCS.I have experience supervising students, practitioners in private practice, mental health organisations, outside therapists, university and college provision, primary and secondary schools and refuges. I have developed my online practice with clients and supervisees over several years. A particular interest of mine is outdoor therapy work, whether this is walk and talk or a deeper eco-therapeutic approach.
I have worked in social care providing one to one and group support to parents and young people. I have managed and coordinated counselling services, volunteers and training.
