About me and my therapy practice
As a Humanistic Psychotherapist Katie will work alongside you as a professional guide to you as the expert of your own experiencing. Central to the humanistic-existential approach is that people are capable of positive growth, and can make beneficial choices, within a safe, warm, respectful environment. Sometimes just being about to talk through painful issues with a person who cares can provide this space is needed.
Katie can incorporate relaxation, mindfulness, CBT, gestalt models into the work, which are tailored to the needs of each unique client, so she may make suggestions or invite you to try different approaches that could be beneficial, however it is always your process that is central to the work.
