About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in working with women only, who have a difficult and complex relationship with food and/or eating. For example this could take the form of yo-yo dieting, a diagnosed eating disorder or constantly thinking and obsessing about food and/or exercise.
Firstly it's important to recognise that you are not alone and that there are millions of women just like you who are secretly going through the same nightmare. Recovery and healing takes time, patience and persistence and a professional and experienced psychotherapist can help you through this challenging process.
I often see women who have "tried everything", (including self-help books, personal trainers, hypnotherapy, counselling and CBT), however for some unknown reason it's just not worked for them.
I attribute the success my clients have firstly that they can trust me, they feel safe with and they 'get' that I know where they are coming from.
Together we discover the part of you that is sabotaging your deepest desires of being the best you, and who is unconsciously running the show - and most importantly why this keeps happening.
I also have experience of working with ante-natal/post-natal depression, general depression, anxiety, life-crisis, breakdown, OCD, suicidal thoughts, childhood trauma, addiction and relationship issues.
I work in-person on a one-to-one basis and also offer 9-week intensive courses.
