About me and my therapy practice

* I offer counselling via online video or telephone*

I offer approachable, professional support to help you through times that may be proving difficult. Together we can explore your experiences, emotions and relationships, enabling you to work safely and positively towards your goals, whatever they may be. I will support you in your aim to make healthier and safer choices to enable more positive experiences.

I specialise in listening to and understanding you, and all you are. Building a trusting professional relationship from which you can safely explore your experiences. Throughout your journey I will be alongside you, offering professional support to explore your thoughts and emotions, and helping you to achieve your aims in a place you can truly be yourself.

I am more than happy to talk through what I offer and you are welcome to ask any questions you may have.

"Equanimity: Emotional calmness, balance and composure"

You can find out a little more by visiting my website https://equanimitycounselling.webnode.co.uk, or by getting in touch via my contact details on this page.

I look forward to hearing from you and wish you well with your journey.

Practice description

I work from my private practice in Chalfont St Giles, South Bucks.  I offer flexible day time and evening appointments, subject to availability.

I have experience working with adults and teenagers, with a particular interest in family relationships (past and present), addictions, low mood and anxiety. We will work together, at your pace, and I will ensure your well being at all times.

I offer a free telephone call so we can 'meet' prior to committing to an appointment. Appointments usually last 1 hour and are charged at £50..

I offer a limited number of reduced fee appointments, and welcome you to ask about this.

My first session

During your first session I will go through my working agreement with you, including GDPR statement and will happily discuss any questions or concerns you may have. I will then, with your agreement, conduct a brief assessment of your needs to ensure that I am best placed to support you at this time.  If for any reason this is not the case, I will offer my support with finding a therapist who can.

Following this, we can commence the session in whatever way you feel comfortable.  For some this is giving a general overview of their current situation, for others is to describe the here and now.  I will support you where and how to start if you need.
