About me and my therapy practice

I’m a warm and caring person who wants the best for you, however you define that. This is your life and I truly believe that you are the only person who can make the right decisions for you - but you don’t have to struggle alone.

Practice description

I’m here to sit beside you on your journey and I’ll work hard to help you uncover what the best for you really means from your point of view. I won’t ask, “What’s wrong with you?” I’ll ask, “What’s happened to you?”  I want to connect with you. I’m curious to know you and to find out about your life, your experiences and how you feel. I’ll offer you a safe space where I invite you to tell your story, express your thoughts and feelings and really be heard.  I will listen without judging you in any way, offering you a rare opportunity to connect with me. Together we can step gently forward as you map out your way.

We can work in-person, online or by telephone. The choice is yours. If you choose to work in-person, in addition to talking together, I invite you to use creative materials if this is helpful to you. No artistic expertise is required but we'll always be led by what feels comfortable for you.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation.  The fee for the first session is £40 or £45 after 5pm.

Between the telephone consultation and our first session we’ll begin to get to know each other. You’ll be able to tell me what you want from counselling and ask questions. I’ll need to take some details and I’ll be able to explain more about how I work. There will also be time for you to begin to explain and explore some of the reasons you have come to counselling.
