About me and my therapy practice
I work with individuals suffering from a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, stress and relationships problems. (I am currently engaged as a counselling therapist at the University of Surrey, supporting students and staff members).
As a family man, I recognise the challenges of relationships and responsibilities that can lead some to unwarranted feelings of self doubt, inadequacy or failure. Functioning day to day can thus be difficult.
Addiction, self harming and suicidal thoughts are sympathetically met in the provision of a safe space for open expression.
I utilise the Humanistic approach to counselling, valuing a client’s innate ability to self heal through talking therapy; a process which brings to the surface the trauma, feelings and experiences from where emotional problems may stem.
I have a special interest in those who may have suffered spiritual abuse/loss through affiliation to organised religious groups as well as having a keen interest in those who feel on the periphery of social and cultural society due to migration or difference.
My clients are offered the respect, dignity and confidentiality endorsed through adherence to the ethical guidelines of the BACP.
