About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor who can offer you a safe, empathic, non-judgmental space in which to explore whatever is on your mind.
Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, looking for help navigating a big life change or simply feel like something’s “up”, I provide a confidential space where we will explore your difficulties together and work towards helping you become the best version of yourself.
I will never judge you or tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. I believe that compassion, connection and trust lie at the heart of the therapeutic relationship. My role is to listen and strengthen trust in your own inner guidance. It is as we develop and build on compassion and awareness that we allow the space for real change to take place.
I have trained in a number of different therapy modalities, including: Person- Centered, Gestalt, Transpersonal, CBT and Mindfulness. My integrative approach means that I tailor my approach to what suits you, and what you feel most comfortable with. I also have a strong personal and professional interest in mindfulness meditation, and often incorporate mindfulness techniques in my sessions.
As a trained Youth Mindfulness teacher, I believe the practice of mindfulness holds the potential to have a deeply transformative impact on the lives of young people and children ultimately leading to a more healthy, happy and compassionate society. Research show that mindfulness is one of the most effective methods for enhancing wellbeing.
Practicing Mindfulness enables us to wake up, to live consciously, to access these inner resources and live with greater confidence, wisdom, clarity and kindness.
My first session
I offer a 20 min free initial consultation so that you can decide whether you feel comfortable with me and if I am the right counsellor for you.
Our sessions can be either face to face or online via Zoom.
I am able to offer both short term and long term sessions depending on your needs.
Sessions are generally held weekly, but please contact to discuss.
