About me and my therapy practice
Within the therapeutic space, you will have a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental place to explore any aspect of yourself or experiences. Whether it is a specific event or topic you would like to discuss, or a general sense that something in your life just isn't quite right, counselling can help us to navigate times of hardship, know ourselves better and understand how we relate to the world and those around us.
Nothing need be necessarily 'wrong' or 'bad' with your present situation in order to seek out support. Sometimes, having a dedicated time each week to reflect and speak openly, can help to prevent or diffuse unhelpful behaviours or lurking stressors before they become real world problems. For me, counselling is all about change. You may not yet know where you want to be and that's okay; just acknowledging that you want something to be different is a fantastic starting point.
I am trained to support you through potentially frightening and confusing feelings, advocate for your well-being and be an anchor as you explore what is causing you pain, unhappiness, or apathy. My approach to therapy is that we will work as a team to facilitate your growth and ability to live in harmony with an ever changing and unpredictable world.
Embarking on therapy can be very daunting or bewildering, so taking the time to invest in yourself by just researching your options is an achievement in its own right.
