About me and my therapy practice

Due to Covid 19 and the unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in I have changed the way I practice to include video calls and can offer concessions were needed.

I have a BA (Hons) in Counselling from Roehampton University, previously I was a registered general nurse and worked in the NHS. I offer an Integrative approach to therapy, including psychodynamic, CBT, bereavement and trauma therapy. Life is a journey in which we all experience good and bad times. Sometimes the bad experiences can either overwhelm or leave us in place where we feel bruised and unable to cope. Whether difficulties have their roots in the past or stem from an event in the present; counselling can offer you a safe, non-judgmental, supportive setting, where together we can explore your experience, enabling you to develop a new personal understanding about yourself. Many people find that this new insight empowers them to make positive changes. I am a member of the BACP and abide by its ethical framework and am on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am also a member of the UK Psychological Trauma Society.

What I can help with

Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Child related issues, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma

About me and my therapy practice

I have a Clinical Diploma in Integrative supervision and have been qualified for 5 years. I work with students and qualified counsellors. My training allows me to work with many modalities.

I offer a safe space to explore the work, both the positives and difficulties and explore ways forward. I offer advice and signpost to further resources.

I enjoy the collaborative work of supervision and journeying with others on their counselling journey.

Practice description

I work two days a week in Private Practice, currently Monday and Tuesday and evenings Monday through to Thursday.

I work in a school on the other days and therefore I can supervise work with children either in a school environment of in an alternative setting.

Due to Covid I am currently working online and via telephone and will continue to do so in the near future. Longer term face to face will become available again.

Brief therapy, CBT, Creative therapy, Existential, Integrative, Person centred, Solution focused brief therapy, Transpersonal
