About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling and supervision, working in private practice in Cleethorpes, at the business centre in Poplar Road.  The aim is to help you to achieve the change in your life that you are seeking, at the speed of progress that suites you.

A client-focused approach is used.  What that means is that as a client, you choose what you want to talk about, how much or how little, what your goals are in life, and the ways in which we will work will be aimed at meeting those preferences.  Although I am a Person-Centred therapist, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis,  Systemic practice and Family Work all provide ideas and skills which may be offered if they could be helpful for you, or we can stay totally Person-Centred if you prefer.

Whether you would prefer a gradual weekly or fortnightly journey of self-discovery, or are seeking to explore only one pressing issue, I am happy to discuss how we might work together, so please ask.

Appointments are usually available between 9 am and 9 pm during the week.   For clients working away from the area, or having unusual shift patterns, appointments on Saturdays can be arranged as needed.

If you are unable to attend the office in Cleethorpes, or prefer to meet over the internet, please ask about this.  I am currently using the Zoom platform for internet appointments.

Practice description

Office Suite 7, Poplar Road Office Suites, is a comfortable, quiet and peaceful room in a single storey row of offices almost next to the Fire Station in Poplar Road, Cleethorpes.

There are good public transport links, being near the bus stop (1 minute walk) and and also the train station 5 minute walk), and parking is usually available nearby.

The building is secured by intercom access.  During the COVID pandemic clients are requested to phone from the car park on arrival, and I will come to the door to greet them (ie no need to press button 7 on the intercom or touch any door handles). As there is no reception at these offices, clients are requested not to attend more than 10 minutes before appointment time, at which time I will go to the door anyway.

Whilst there are two entrances to the building, during the pandemic clients are requested to use the entrance with a ramp for wheelchair access.   Please use the hand sanitiser just inside the door.  I will open all doors within the building as I escort you to and from the office.  Please observe social distancing as far as possible, for your own and others safety.
