About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling anxious or depressed? Are you stressed at work? Feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands and challenges? Do you need help to cope with change or loss?
I have a safe, secure counselling room in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens where I can provide friendly, non-judgemental, confidential counselling therapy. I offer a free, no-obligation half-hour session where you can decide if you can work with me and I can use my professional judgement to assess if I am the right person to help you. If not, I can generally refer you to somebody who can.
You may be looking for short-term, solution-focused therapy to fix a specific problem you have become stuck with, or you may be looking for a more open-ended approach to make sense of your past. You may not know! But I have experience of both.
I am a qualified, experienced integrative counsellor, which means I can adopt approaches and techniques specifically tailored to your needs. Before I went into counselling, I worked for many years in a stressful job for a financial institute in the city centre. It wasn’t the right job for me but I do understand the pressures involved. Since qualifying, I have worked for the charity MIND and have a broad experience of mental health issues.
It is best to contact me initially by email or text; I will not be able to answer my phone if I am with a client so don’t be disappointed to reach my voicemail. Whatever you choose, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
