About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative counsellor, I work with different elements in therapy and specialise in bereavement work. This means that I take different approaches to help each individual cope with their unique problems and world.

I work with the here and now, the present and the past, with childhood memories, beliefs and thoughts which affect us in our everyday lives. Together we can explore how to reach your ultimate goals and to enable your inner self to be unlocked and understood. I respect that we all experience life differently, depending on our past, our culture and unique lens.

I place the relationship between therapist and client at the heart of my work by creating a safe, trusting, caring, confidential and non judgmental space for you. We develop shared goals for our work together.

Since studying Psychology at University College London, I have volunteered for many years, specialising in children and adults dealing with trauma and bereavement. This has been varied and demanding and I have also travelled widely. My first volunteering experience was at Great Ormond Street Hospital as Volunteer assistant play therapist; my volunteering experience as a counsellor started at Lambeth & Southwark Mind and Brent & Wandsworth and Westminster Mind.

I am a bereavement volunteer and supervisor with Cruse bereavement charity working with bereaved children and adults. I also worked as a counsellor and supervisor for Momentum a charity supporting families with children with life limiting illnesses for over 2 years.

In October 2020 I took a new role as volunteer qualified counsellor at Royal London Trinity Hospice, Clapham.

I also see clients privately and as I work remotely I can see clients with a wide geographical reach.

I was Vice Chair for Lambeth & Southwark Mind for 4 years after I was a volunteer counsellor for them for 2 years and a paid counsellor with Princes Trust for 1 year.

Practice description

During these challenging times of social distancing I offer One to One remote work for adults, students and young adults.

I am flexible so can work with your availability as much as possible.

I  do offer reduced rates depending on your needs.

My first session

Our first session will explore if and how we can work together. It will be for you a safe and open place to discuss your goals, current and past challenges. We can also discuss your past experience of counselling, if any, and what we can learn from that.

If you are new to the world of counselling I will gently guide you through my practice and ways of working. The key to working together will be our relationship based on trust, acceptance and openness. We will look at techniques to develop your self worth, acceptance and resilience.

In time, you will hopefully come to understand yourself better and learn from the past to help shape a more fulfilling future.
