About me and my therapy practice

The relationship with my client is at the heart of my practice. My aim is to provide a safe, non-judgemental and warm space for you to talk through your issues to promote acceptance, understanding and growth.

I believe that there is enormous power in formulating your own life story and put difficulties into words, and talking therapy can give a person who is going through changes or difficulties – with self, family, love or work – some time to be heard and understood.

I aim to help you make sense of thoughts and feelings that can be painful, overwhelming and confusing. My purpose as a psychotherapeutic counsellor is to work together with you and to help give you the strength to move forward.

I have worked for four years in non-profit settings and for the NHS with both brief and long-term clients, with issues including relationship issues, anxiety, depression and low mood, self-esteem issues, bereavement, and physical and psychological trauma. I work with adults, young adults from 16 and above, and older adults.

I have a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Roehampton University and I am a registered member of BACP.

Practice description

My approach is integrative. This means that through training and experience I have developed a ‘tool kit’ of approaches that I tailor to my individual clients' needs, to help promote acceptance, understanding and growth. I believe in treating the whole person, and in the value of 'checking in' on everyday stresses as well as addressing deeper thoughts and feelings.

My first session

I'm happy for you to contact me via email, phone or text.

I don't offer a free initial consultation, but of course you are very welcome to contact me for a chat before that with any questions you might have about me, my practice or about therapy in general.

The first session is a good opportunity to describe in more detail what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get from the sessions, any goals you might have, length of therapy and so on.

Please see my website for more information.
