About me and my therapy practice
Through my experience as a Counsellor, CBT Therapist, Coach, NLP practitioner and PICT Practitioner I am able to offer a variety of tools to assist clients find not only their own answers but to find resolution enabling them to move on with their life. Below is a small sample of areas I cover.
• low self-esteem/ confidence,

• drug and or alcohol dependence,
• domestic abuse,
• past and present trauma,
• Childhood sexual abuse,
• anger and much much more.
I offer standard hourly counselling sessions and ‘Personal Development Day.’ The day can be a whole day or split into two.
Each session is designed around your specific needs or goals’, allowing you a greater understanding of self, personal growth, resolution and other desired outcomes you highlighted at the start of therapy.
Each session will be client led and depending on the issues or outcomes desired will depend on the tools used and or suggested, such as daily thought logs, visualisation techniques, goal setting, relaxation exercises, letter writing, motivational interviewing and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), CBT to name but a few.
As a therapist I will be your guide, helping you to address your issues at your own pace and offer time and space for you to fully engage with a therapeutic relationship in a comfortable, safe and secure environment.
My therapy room is separate from my house and has own entrance.
There are toilet facilities on the same floor.
There is plenty of parking.
My first session
First session is explaining why you have come to see me, I will take some notes as we progress all without using your name, I use initials.
I will explain how I work, confidentiality and data protection. I will explain what you can expect from me and give you space to ask any questions and or to give a brief description of what you expect and the outcomes you would like through our work together .
This session gives us both a chance to meet and see if we are happy to work together, I work alongside my client and we will work in a collaborative manner, again this session gives us both chance to discuss all the above, setting clear foundations for our future work.
