About me and my therapy practice
In light of the current situation I have moved all my existing and new clients to remote sessions using online counselling (email, video or telephone) allowing continued access to therapy during this challenging time.
Individuals come to counselling for a variety of reasons: stress, anxiety, despair, life changes, relationships, unease, trauma, loss, bereavement and more. Counselling is an opportunity to explore your feelings and talk about anything that may be troubling you, the process can help relieve anxieties and find a personal resolution to your problems. I offer counselling to adults in a non-judgmental and confidential environment.
My counselling approach is Person-Centred, this approach allows clients to work at their own pace, its theory is based on the belief that each individual has the capacity and potential for personal growth, healing and development. I was attracted to training in this modality due to its Humanistic belief that each individual has the inner resources to find their own answers and direction, thus encouraging empowerment. Having worked with short term therapy, I have also used more goal focused approaches.
