About me and my therapy practice

Over a period of ten years, I completed two university degrees to help achieve my desire to be a qualified psychotherapist;

First Class (Hons) degree in Psychology with The Open University.

MSc degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University. I am proud to have been awarded the Esmond Robinson scholarship for this.

Advanced diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). With Distinction.

In order to further understand this complex field and as part of my clinical training, I volunteered as a Samaritan for four years. This provided me with the opportunity to help clients with a variety of emotional, behavioural and mental health issues spanning cultures, ages and backgrounds.

I also volunteered for two years as a psychotherapist at a private residential rehabilitation clinic for substance/alcohol misuse in London. This gave me a wide experience in individual, group and family therapy sessions, in addition to the development and facilitation of biopsychosocial group workshops and presentations, client assessments and treatment planning.

My first session

I offer the first 50 minute session at half price (£32.50). This can give you the opportunity to meet me and see if I'm the right therapist for you to continue with.  There's no obligation to continue.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe we are all unique and how we encounter life is personal to us. Our experiences shape our core belief systems about ourselves, others and the world and this effects how we think, feel, behave and how we act within our relationships.

As an integrative psychotherapist I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches. This means I have a wide range of knowledge, skills and techniques which I can use, enabling me to tailor the sessions to suit the specific needs and requirements of each individual client.

Whatever reason you are seeking therapy, I am here to listen to you and support you in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Together we will develop a shared awareness about what may have precipitated your issues and what may be maintaining them. I am here to apply my knowledge and skills to support and guide you at your own pace. I will help you to explore your own strengths, empowering you to identify therapeutic goals for yourself and strategies and techniques of how to achieve them.

My qualifications include:

  • • BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology at the Open University

    • MSc degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at London South Bank University

My journey to become a psychotherapist developed from my own positive experience of therapy during my earlier years and the fundamental impact it had on my life. During my training I had the opportunity to help others from all backgrounds and it has been an invaluable experience. I spent four years volunteering as a Samaritan and a further two years at a private rehabilitation clinic for substance misuse in London and I have had the privilege to support and guide many clients through their own personal journeys, towards self-discovery, personal growth and healing.
