About me and my therapy practice
I have ten years of experience working with children and young people (3-25) in educational and therapeutic settings. I trained in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the University of Cambridge. I work as a counsellor in schools and see clients privately in Herne Hill, South London.
Practice description
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, specially trained to work with children and young people. My approach is:
- No one size fits all
Informed by humanistic, art-based, psychodynamic, attachment and neuroscience theories. - Age Appropriate
Specially trained in child and adolescent development. - Inclusive of Neurodiversity
Strengths-based approach to neurodiversity (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia). - LGBTQ+ Affirmative
Positively welcoming gender and sexuality diversity. - Mindfulness based
A facilitator of mindfulness groups for the past 5 years, I focus on presence and grounding. - Creative Arts based
Children and young people often naturally express themselves through the language of creativity, images, metaphor and play. I offer opportunities to talk, play and be creative, depending on the child.
My first session
I offer an initial 20-minute phone consultation to discuss whether counselling may be suitable before any commitment.
