About me and my therapy practice
Am I ready to talk to someone? If you've found yourself on this page, it's likely that you've already considered this question.
Events in our life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, alone or misunderstood. You may find it difficult to cope or make sense of what is going on. Moreover, you may be suffering from anxiety, are having relationship difficulties, find yourself feeling sad and not really knowing why, or just generally feeling like life has no real meaning.
Counselling provides you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where we work through troubled and confused feelings and situations. A counsellor will not offer solutions, but instead will help facilitate understanding and clarity. Together we will explore the many ways in which the past, relationships, experiences and events impact our present day life.
I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor based in London, having completed my training at the longest serving counselling service in the UK. I am a registered member of the BACP and fully comply with its ethical standards and guidelines.
- Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (BACP Accredited Course)
- Certificate in Counselling Skills
Since qualifying, I have worked at a renowned North London charity offering counselling services. I also run a private practice, offering psychodynamic counselling on a long- or short-term basis. Prior to starting a career in counselling, I worked as a senior manager for a number of years, and have corporate and leadership experience.
My private practice consulting rooms are in Enfield, Cockfosters, and Highgate. However, due to COVID-19, I have moved my practice online and can offer therapy to individuals in other areas (and outside) of London through online counselling or telephone counselling.
If you would like to discuss more about what brings you here, please contact me to arrange an initial session.
My first session
Reaching out can feel daunting, so it's good to know what to expect. The first step is getting in touch with me. Please provide a brief summary of why counselling is being sought. I will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange an initial session, which will last for one hour. We will discuss what areas you want to explore in counselling, and whether you feel I am the right counsellor for you.
If we decide to work together, we will arrange a regular time and day to meet for weekly sessions. This will be your allocated time-slot every week.
Price for initial session: £65 (1 hour)
Weekly sessions thereafter are charged at £60 (50 minutes)
