About me and my therapy practice
***On-line and telephone counselling available***
There are many different reasons why we seek counselling and psychodynamic counselling can help with problems brought about through life’s experiences; illness, bereavement, relationship breakdown, parenting, life transitions, trauma, career or simply when life just feels a struggle.
I can help adults of all ages who are experiencing feelings of confusion, feeling overwhelmed or feelings you cannot put a name to or explain. Sometimes our problems feel complex, but with the support of a trained listener we are able to explore and identify these difficulties.
The psychodynamic approach is an in-depth form of counselling which allows us to consider all aspects of a person’s life; exploring past and present issues and how past events and unconscious parts of you may be affecting current situations and relationships.
Counselling can allow you the space to explore and develop a greater understanding of yourself and your relationships. It can contribute considerably to your mental and physical health and your sense of well-being and enables you to make more informed choices giving you a greater sense of control.
Practice descriptionI offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space allowing us to discuss various and sensitive topics, enabling us to work towards improving perspective and awareness.
My first session
We will have an initial 30 minute consultation, free of charge which is an opportunity for you to tell me about yourself, discuss what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you have and assess whether what I offer is right for you and that we are comfortable working together.
We will meet once weekly at the same time and day for 50 minutes.
