About me and my therapy practice
I provide a warm and non-judgemental space that gives you an opportunity for exploration. In addition, I offer a safe and calm approach that is rooted in compassion and understanding.
You may feel anxious, very low or just feel like you are not yourself at the moment. People come to counselling for lots of different reasons. Perhaps you have experienced loss, such as; bereavement, loss of work or a sense of loss of direction in life? Experiencing significant change can unsettle and influence our lives on many different levels. Seeking help during this time can help us find new meanings and directions in life. It is possible to explore in-depth what stops us from being who we really want to be, to rediscover and reconnect with what’s alive in us, and allow us the possibility of changing unhelpful patterns.
I believe that every individual is unique and I will tailor the therapeutic process to what suits you, working collaborative, with a naturally developing process according to what is important and of value to you. Although you will not be given advice or told what to do, I will try and help you find answers within yourself.
In addition to private practice I also work for an organisation dealing with bereavement and another where I counsel individuals dealing with past and present abuse. In addition, I also work as a counsellor in a school.
My first session
The first session is free of charge. This is a chance for you to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and an opportunity for you to identify your hopes and expectations of therapy.
Our first session together will also be be a chance for you to decide whether I may be the right therapist for you as it is important that you find a therapist you connect with.
