About me and my therapy practice
Hi. Perhaps you're here because you're confused, down or frustrated.. Or maybe something just doesn't feel right but you don't know what. Either way, I'd be happy to see if I may help.
I frequently support people through communication/relationship difficulties; depression/feeling low; anxiety; stress; dissatisfaction or confusion. If nothing in that list resonates, feel free to get in contact anyway - evidence suggests that the most important factor for 'success' in therapy is the connection between you and your therapist. I encourage 'shopping around'.
I am a counsellor/psychotherapist, supervisor (of other therapists) and trainer. Since qualifying in 2011, I have practised in the UK and the Netherlands; as well as managed an NHS counselling service in North London. In 2015 I also completed a qualification to work safely and effectively online.
I enjoy being a media spokesperson for the BACP; and I've written for the magazines 'Therapy Today' and 'Planet Mindful'. Such articles are also on my website www.chandcounselling.co.uk - as is my blog.
Paying attention to professional ethics is paramount to me; therapy is my passion and vocation.

About me and my therapy practice
I have facilitated training for groups on undergraduate degree courses at the Metanoia Institute; since then I have trained staff at the charity 'MIND'; and at other organisations outside of London.
As a trainer I'm experienced with facilitating process/encounter groups; mediating; as well training on certain topics, such as 'Communication and Feedback' or 'Race and Mental Health'. I love training, with or without a particular agenda; this passion seems conducive to others' learning too.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi. I'm interested in developing a collegial relationship, where we are each an expert. I aim to create a respectful environment where you can talk freely about and learn from your difficulties and triumphs. I find that supervision/coaching often addresses the interface of the professional and personal. Conversations may be about confidence and competency; decision-making; leadership skills; communication and interpersonal difficulties; barriers to development etc.
I'm particularly interested in issues of power and equality. I'm currently undertaking a PhD in this area alongside my independent practice.
I completed my supervision qualification in 2014; and my therapy training in 2011. My website and blog - for more information - is www.chandcounselling.co.uk.
