About me and my therapy practice
I bring warmth and empathy to add to my knowledge and professional experience as a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, working online via video link, text, email and telephone.
I strongly believe in the relationship between client and therapist as this helps to develop the trust that enables my clients to feel able to explore their feelings and accept challenges to their thinking. I help them to better understand themselves and their motivations, helping them stop the destructive cycles and live happier lives.
Originally trained in Person Centred Work, I now also hold Diplomas in CBT, Working with Couples, Attachment.
I have further studied EMDR and use this to supplement my trainings and experience to offer effective treatment for those experiencing trauma, phobias and deep seated issues.
I am recognised by BUPA, Aviva, AXA PPP Healthcare and other private health care providers.
I am a Link Adoption Counsellor and I offer counselling for all stages of adoption and all who are affected by it. This service is provided under a contract for services with Barnardos who are registered and regulated with Ofsted.
