About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in Malvern and Cheltenham.

I have been able to continue with some face to face work in Cheltenham during Covid 19 but mainly work on Skype, zoom and the telephone at the moment.

My work is very much a team effort. I will not advise you but will work with you to find solutions that will help you manage the challenges you are facing. It can be a bumpy road but all our work is confidential, gentle and I will support you through it.

I have been so happy to see the changes, little and big, that therapy has achieved.

Whilst I am an Integrative Counsellor, I like to incorporate some creative activities (which are even possible over the phone) as this can be a lovely way to express difficult emotions when you can't find the words.

My work covers many areas including Bereavement, different kinds of Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Relationship struggles and more recently menopausal symptoms.

I also work with clients who experience suicidal and invasive thoughts or who have attempted suicide.

Please contact me by email or phone if you would like to meet.

Practice description

I have two practices, one in the heart of Cheltenham in newly refurbished rooms that are warm and discrete.

In Malvern, I use space at The Lyttelton Well, a charity based on Church Street where I also volunteer. The Well is welcoming and again discrete.

Both rooms have easy access to free parking.

My first session

Prior to our first meeting, I will ask you to complete some forms including a short assessment, counselling guidelines and a data protection policy. We go through these together when we meet.

This gives me an idea in advance of your main concerns as well as some background information on your lifestyle. This can take up to half the session. So, you may wish to book an initial session of 1 1/2hr to allow for this.

After the first session, there is no obligation to continue. The relationship between client and therapist is so important. If I am not the right person for you, the therapy will not be as effective.

I ask all clients to make payment in advance of £50 for the first session.
