About me and my therapy practice
Hello! I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I provide therapy online and face-to-face.
As individuals, I believe we have different needs when looking for therapeutic support. Through a holistic, personalised approach, therapy can provide beneficial improvements in mental well-being and the decision making that is right for us.
I have over 10 years experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds. Practicing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, I have worked with clients in the NHS and in private practice exhibiting a range of difficulties that impact their lives and cause them emotional and psychological distress.
I believe that you should be at the centre of the therapeutic process, and my role is to support you to find your own meaning. My goal is to help you develop the coping skills necessary to manage life’s difficulties, and access important support networks and resources to sustain overall well-being.
I specialize in working with the LGBT+ community, particularly those struggling with their gender and sexual orientation or those who have experienced discrimination due to their sexual orientation. I also completed significant therapeutic work with BAME clients, and supported individuals who experienced racial/ethnic discrimination.
Practice description
I provide short-term counselling and long-term therapy in an effort to facilitate growth, enable change and foster healing of the entire person. Work with my clients varies in scope and time-frame from just a few sessions focusing on a specific concern or concerns, to 'deeper' and more far-reaching therapeutic work which can last a year or more.
I offer sessions on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 7pm.
My first session
Face to face Therapy:
The first step is to get in contact. This can be done via telephone, email or the contact form on my website. Getting in contact gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about how I practice and clarify any concerns you might have in regards to pursuing therapy. The initial contact also gives the opportunity to arrange an initial session to assess your needs for therapy.
The second step is an initial session. This is a 50-minute session and is a chance for us to meet, speak about what has brought you for therapy and to decide if you want to continue working together. There is no obligation to return if you decide that the service is not for you.
If you decide to continue, then a weekly time will be arranged to fit with your availability. The number of sessions is flexible around your needs.
Online Therapy:
Online therapy allows you to receive therapeutic support from the comfort of your own home. This service is ideal for anyone who is not able to have therapy in person frequently, or who has a hectic lifestyle and needs a flexible approach to therapy.
