About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Member.
A Brit, for some years now a trained counsellor I have experienced life from several vantage points including hardship, failure and at times a degree of success. I have spent time in the ranks of the British Army, I have been a career management consultant. I have worked a lot overseas. I hold a BACP approved postgraduate counselling diploma gained through full time study in Scotland in 2002/2003. I have received some additional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and DV&A support and I am a member of the school of hard knocks. At the time of writing this I have 500 plus counselling hours logged with BACP . I have earlier counselling and coaching exposure while continuing with my then main occupation in South Africa.
Retired by ageism rather than desire I have been back in the United Kingdom since 2008 practicing as a counsellor since 2003.
I am a good listener. I am not easily shocked. I will respect your privacy. I will not judge you. I have no agenda beyond being in your corner. We will work together as equals with a few ground rules that will keep you in control.
