About me and my therapy practice
Helping you help you to create more fulfilling relationships and to live with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose. Counselling and Psychotherapy in next to Finsbury Park, North London (N4) and online.
I am a qualified and professionally trained therapeutic counsellor, and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Whatever has brought you here, I recognise both the suffering and pain you may be experiencing and perhaps also a willingness to try to do things differently and to seek support.
I have experience working with the following issues in particular:
Depression – sadness – low confidence & self-esteem – anxiety – stress – burnout – family issues – loss – relationship difficulties – loss of direction or purpose.
My fee is on a sliding scale from £60 - £85 depending on financial circumstances. Please feel free to enquire.
Practice description
For those who are interested, my therapeutic approach can be described as 'Integrative', drawing from a range of modalities: Humanistic, Transpersonal, Somatic, Gestalt and Psychoanalytic. The field of neuroscience and bio-feedback also inform my practice. But most importantly, I aim to get to know you as an individual, and to meet you wherever you are in your life.
Although mainly ' talking therapy', methods such as free drawing, chair work, somatic and body work, dream work, guided visualisations and others are also available in sessions.
My practice is open to people aged 18 and older and is LGBTQ+ friendly. Therapy, I strongly believe, is for everyone.
My first session
I ask each client to complete a self-referral form in advance of our initial session and to consider what they're looking for from counselling. We would talk about this in the first session.
The first session gives us a chance to consider whether counselling is right for you before continuing. It's also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and for us to get a feel for how we work together.
We can talk about the number of sessions which feel right for you or you can take some time after the session to reflect on if you'd like to go ahead with more sessions. We'd agree a plan going forward based on both our input in the initial session.
