About me and my therapy practice

Hey I’m Loz, my pronouns are she/they.

I believe that to create a nurturing space where you feel safe and open to explore the challenges that have bought you to counselling, I need to be the most genuine and empathetic version of myself I can be. Sharing my humanness with you is important to me and this is what guided me to become a Person-Centred counsellor.

Our sessions will be led by you, allowing you to work at your own pace, while I take a gentle and holding approach to being alongside you through your journey. It’s my aim for us to work together to co-create a trusting relationship that can support and empower you with getting to where you want to be.

I believe that in the absence of judgement and the presence of compassion, kindness and acceptance, it’s possible for you to heal and grow and find a more connected way of being with yourself and the world around you.

I deeply value the importance of working in an ethically rooted way and I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor, with considerable training and experience in this area gained from working for an LGBTQ+ counselling service based in Brighton.

I am currently available to offer face-to-face, online or telephone sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and charged at £45. The therapy I offer can be long or short term and is open ended.

It’s not always easy to choose the right counsellor for you which is why I offer a free 30 minute introduction session either online or over the phone so you can see if working with me feels right for you.
