About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Alisha Chady.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I have a particular interest in working with clients on abuse, historical trauma, crime, suicide prevention, grief, and issues relating to sexuality and gender.
I will aim to help you in a way that is collaborative and empowering whist creating a safe and comfortable space for you. It is so important to me that you would feel comfortable talking to me, coming to counselling is such a brave thing to do and I want you to feel safe during our sessions.
I work using an Integrative, Client-Centred approach, this means that to me, the relationship between myself, as the therapist, and you, as the client, is the most important thing. We will work together to to break negative patterns of behaviour and get you to a place where you feel comfortable to finish therapy.
I have no set way of working, each person is unique, as are the situations and issues they bring to therapy, as such, the way in which I work flows with what my clients brings into the session.
Whether you feel you need a few sessions, or you anticipate needing long-term Counselling and/or Psychotherapy, I can facilitate both.
I currently have availability on a Monday and Wednesday day time.
