About me and my therapy practice

It’s always good to talk but finding someone who it is easy to talk to can be difficult. That is when a counsellor can really help. I believe you will find me a good listener and someone who is warm, supportive and on your side.

I work as an integrative counsellor. This means I have undertaken several forms of counselling training and can blend them together to produce the best results for my clients.  I can therefore help you explore what is causing the problems in your life and to fashion the therapy so that it is unique for you and your situation.

The main idea behind integrative therapy is that you are unique, and what would work perfectly for you is not necessarily what would work for other people.

I work with individuals and couples and also provide supervision to other counsellors. Why not contact me to see if counselling will help with whatever symptom or situation you are currently facing? I offer a free initial telephone or Zoom consultation with no obligation so why not give me a call or contact me through my web site?

I am an experienced and trained counsellor and a member of the professional counselling organisation The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

Practice description

Prior to the pandemic I was working from Delta House, Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard but currently I am only offering therapy online. Get in touch if you really need to see me on a one to one basis and we can consider walking therapy or it may be that Delta House is once more available for bookings.

Sessions are best held weekly, on the same day & at the same time each week if possible. However, flexibility can be offered to accommodate your situation.

I offer daytime appointments and rarely do evenings. I am available Thursdays and some other days during the week (not Friday or Saturday) . I may have time available on Sunday afternoons.

If you would like more information, please contact me or visit my website http://www.hopecounsellingservice.org.uk

My first session

I offer an initial free of charge short telephone consultation so that you can ask questions and I can find out more about how I can help. Counselling can feel daunting for some people so I try to create a warm and accepting space in my counselling sessions, especially on the first few sessions, so you feel comfortable and can relax. During our first session we will spend time getting to know each other. You will have the opportunity to find out more about me and the way that I work, in order to help you decide whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether counselling is right for you at this time.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a conscientious, caring counsellor and supervisor with experience in both private practice and voluntary agency settings. My experience includes working in a person centred, CBT and psychodynamic orientation as a counsellor, supervisor and client. I provide Counselling Supervision in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

I am a member of BACP and on their accredited voluntary register and have passed a recognised supervision diploma. I have a proven ability to build good working relationships with supervisees for the benefit of their clients, using the Cyclical Model of supervision in which supervision is an ongoing, negotiated and dynamic process.
