Practice description
I run my own private practice so am able to provide a very personalised therapeutic experience for each client on my books.
My first session
Generally, you will meet for therapy regularly for about 45-50 minutes usually at the same time once each week.
The time is adjusted for children and adolescents depending on their age and ability to interact, this can be between 30-45 minutes
The goal of counselling is to learn about our habits and patterns of feeling and behaviour and how they cause us problems. We can then learn new habits and patterns which will be more successful for us. Counselling provides a special setting in which we can learn about ourselves enabling us to be more effective in our relationships with others and with ourselves.
During our first meeting I will explain my contract and confidentiality and ask you to agree to the terms and sign a form. I will then ask you a few questions in order to gain an understanding of what might be going on in your life and we will discuss your expectations of counselling and what you would like to gain from the experience.
This element gives me an insight into what has brought you to seek counselling and we will compile a working agreement regarding the terms and conditions of engaging in counselling and psychotherapy together. For effective counselling and psychotherapy it is important that you attend consistently for your weekly appointment.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer Supervisor on a one to one basis with supervisees. Supervision has various crucial roles which I aim to implement with each supervisee such as teaching, mentoring, evaluation and monitoring the supervisee, I also share from experience, provide guidance and build professional development in supervisees.
I strives to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space for supervisees to critically reflect on their professional practice with clients. I will aid this reflection by building on self-awareness within the supervisees and through following a framework of supervision
Practice description
I operate both online and face to face supervision sessions to best suits each persons needs. Both are done in a confidential and professional capacity.
My first session
Within the first session of Supervision we explore the contractual agreement around supervision and the elements that will be covered throughout the sessions. If you are a student counsellor who is undergoing training hours we will explore all the details of your placements, case load and college requirements. This will then formulate a plan of how the supervision sessions will work going forward.
