Hi,

Welcome to my profile page...

I know it takes a lot of courage; it can be overwhelming reaching out for help and finding a therapist.  I strongly believe that working on ourselves is our biggest & best investment that we can make..

It is essential that you feel comfortable with a counsellor, so I really would encourage you to take your time with your search, reach out to a few to get a feel for how you may work together.

If I am unable to answer the phone when you call please leave me a voicemail or send me a text or email at 07730202179 or  getclaritywithtina@gmail.com.

I will get back to you as soon as I can.

In your message, please advice me whether it's okay to leave you a voicemail.  I do not want to leave you a message if that may put you at risk of harm.

Please also remember that if you need to talk to someone  urgently the Samaritans offer a telephone support service 24/7...  Their number is: 116-123

If you are in an emergency situation please call 999.

About me and my therapy practice

My private practice is called "Get Clarity Counselling"  I am based in Exeter, Devon, UK.

I work mainly online via Zoom and have a global caseload of clients.

I am an Accredited Belief Coding®️ Facilitator and an Advanced Integrative Counsellor with 16 years counselling experience, working in private practice & various charity & NHS settings.

I am passionate about helping clients to access quality and effective counselling when they need it, to help them work through & recover from what can sometimes be a lifetime of unhelpful patterns of behaviours including, addictions & dependency, low self-esteem, limiting-beliefs, relationship issues, anxiety & trauma and grief.

Transactional Analysis underpins my practice. I am trauma informed and work in a very intuitive way with my clients.

I have been developing my spiritual and energetic practice by incorporating Belief Coding®️ and elements of this powerful modality into my practice. Tapping into the vast store of information from the subconscious mind, allows for the release of trapped emotions held within the body as a result of traumatic past events, which can result in blocks, self-limiting beliefs and unhelpful behaviours.

I am experienced in working with all aspects of life that may cause a client to seek counselling, although my specialisms are dependency, addiction & stress related issues, trauma and grief.

Prior to my career change 16 years ago, I ran my own wellbeing centre & supported many clients through loss, cancer treatment, divorce, relationship breakdown & intimate partner violence/abuse & transgender reassignment

I also work Freelance for Sporting Chance, counselling elite sports professionals & athletes as well as for SP Bespoke Wellbeing Solutions Ltd who specialise in providing tailored 1:1 support in the home for clients needing assistance with dependency and addiction issues.

My first session

If you choose to make contact with me or if I receive a referral for you from a professional, family member or friend. I will send you my counselling & privacy information for you to peruse in your own time.

If you would like an initial appointment I will send you an initial assessment form for you to complete before we first meet.

All correspondence which may contain sensitive information will be password protected.

During our first session and throughout our work I use monitoring tools to monitor progress and identify any risks. Our first session gives you an opportunity to identify your desired outcome.

I always aim to complete counselling in a timely manner, however, there is huge value in having a time and a place set aside for you to talk without time constraints or pressure, allowing you to take as long as you need to work through and reach a conclusion that feels right for you.

This is especially important when working with clients around trauma related issues. Pacing and being familiar with "your safe space" is an essential part of the counselling & recovery process.  Sometimes counselling requires periods of time to pause, practice, process and reflect.

Everybody has the right to stop counselling whenever they choose. However, endings are really important and benefit from spending time to acknowledge the work that has been achieved.

It takes great courage to reach out to ask for help.

Rest assured your confidentiality is as important to me as the effectiveness and safety of your treatment.

I hope my introduction has been helpful. If you have any questions please do reach out, there is absolutely no obligation to take up counselling and that telephone call could just be life-changing!

I shall look forward to hearing from you.
