About me and my therapy practice
I'm Claire, a qualified (Dip HE) person-centred therapist and I offer on-line, telephone, face-to-face and walk&talk therapy (if you are local to me in Gosport). I also have a therapy dog who can join us, if he'd help you to feel relaxed. I am experienced in working with young people and adults.
For me, being a therapist is about providing a relationship where you can be you, and learn, and grow. You might want counselling because things aren't going well, or you have a particular problem you want help with - my role is to help you to get to the answers within you. Being in a trusting therapeutic relationship, can help you to get there sooner and to know yourself better . It can be difficult and painful, but you deserve it.
My first session
Our first session will usually be over the phone and last around 30 minutes. This is your chance to find out more about me and to see if you think we can work well together. I don't charge for this session. After this, we can agree how you would like to have counselling (in person or remotely) and a regular day and time for our work together.
