About me and my therapy practice
Hi my name is Debbie and I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I am trained in several therapeutic approaches which allows me to tailor sessions in meeting your specific needs. I draw on my knowledge of Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT theories in how I work with you. I have experience of working with individuals and couples.
Life can be challenging impacting on our confidence in coping effectively leading to emotional difficulties resulting in depression, stress, anxiety and tension. These difficulties may relate within life presently or arise from past experiences affecting how you think, feel and behave.
My focus is solely on you in encouraging exploration of your thoughts and feelings and in addressing any unhelpful patterns and behaviours. Working with you in helping you to find solutions that feel right for you in building confidence and resilience in moving forwards in life.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to gain insight and deepen awareness, without judgement or opinion. The quality of the therapeutic relationship is a key factor in promoting change and personal growth in individuals. It is important that you feel comfortable in sharing your concerns. I am empathic in my approach from which I hope you will experience being heard, understood and accepted.
