About me and my therapy practice

- BACP Accredited Member

- MSt, University of Oxford

- MSc, University College London

- Health Insurer Registered

I help people with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety and relationship problems. In addition to my private practice I also work as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in the NHS.

I specialise in Psychodynamic therapy, helping you to explore and make links between past and present, discover what might be going wrong, and gain greater clarity through a deeper understanding of yourself. I provide a non-judgemental, confidential space in which to work.

-Psychodynamic Therapy-

Psychodynamic therapy is a creative exploration of the unconscious mind, and is more like a journey than a prescriptive tool. The sessions are semi-structured and led by you. The aim is to develop deeper insight and self-understanding, and by doing so transform whatever you are struggling with into meaningful change.

This form of therapy is likely to provide benefit to those who are ready to make a long term commitment to themselves. Many people who have tried CBT, or integrative counselling, and have found it hasn't worked for them often do better in psychodynamic therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer therapists, students and trainees clinical supervision in a reflective, thoughtful and professional setting. I will help you develop your clinical and ethical competency in psychodynamic work and am able to support you with complex needs and personality disorder patients in your private practice or training placement.

I am on the approved list of supervisors for Birkbeck College, London and am a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience.

I work both in private practice and within the NHS. In the NHS I provide psychodynamic therapy to our complex disorder patients for up to 18 months. I also lead the monthly Community Mental Health Team clinical formulation group.

The supervision I offer provides extensive knowledge of both private practice and NHS settings, which takes consideration of your current experience and abilities and adopts a collaborative approach in which we will work together to allow you to evolve your skill as a capable and unique practitioner.

This supervision is suitable for both trainee and qualified psychodynamic therapists/ counsellors, and integrative therapists who wish to develop their psychodynamic focus.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or queries.
