About me and my therapy practice
I have a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Therapies. I am qualified as an existential psychotherapist and in the process of submitting my doctoral research in Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Practice descriptionI have specialised in treating trauma using different techniques such as EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing), Cognitive Analytical Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, all integrated into an existential/humanistic framework. Throughout the years I found out that the integrative, tailor-made approach works wonders especially dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, phobias, relationship issues and various psychological/psychosomatic difficulties.
My first session
The first session starts with the question ''What brings you here?'' My aim in the first session is to get a good picture of the past, and the present as well as the desirable future. Getting a sense of each other, and exploring ways of working together is very important. After the assessment, I would offer my professional opinion explaining the techniques that I would use and the process in general.
