About me and my therapy practice
Due to Covid 19 I am currently offering online (Zoom) and telephone sessions.
I am a person-centred/pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist. I trained at UEA on the PGDip Counselling and also have a master's degree in Psychology (MSc Experimental Psychology, Uni of Sussex).
The idea behind the name of my private practice, Clear Reflection, is that when we explore our concerns with a person who is trained and skilled in listening, we can see a clearer picture of ourselves and what is going on in our lives as if we are looking in a mirror. We can also take time to think and reflect out loud, which can make our thought processes clearer so we can more easily see our options and make decisions. The approach taken is a client-led person-centred approach, where a non-judgemental and accepting attitude and a genuine personal interaction are key to the process. While being rooted in a person-centred approach, the therapy is also pluralistic, meaning that ideas, methods and skills from other counselling approaches such as CBT, Focusing and Mindfulness can also be drawn upon according to client needs. I work in Norwich and am open to online sessions, telephone sessions, outdoor sessions and incorporating creative writing into the therapy.
