About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Susan and I have 20 years experience as a psychotherapist working with people with a range of challenging life issues and mental health problems. I have been accredited with the BACP since 2004. I am also a Bupa Healthcare registered therapist.
I have worked clinically with children, young people and adults within school, college, agencies and NHS settings.
I am trained to doctoral level in psychotherapy and have a post graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Please see my website for a full list of my qualifications and training.
I have a specialism in bereavement, anxiety disorders, depression and work related stress.
Whether this is the first time you have considered having therapy or you have had previous experience, finding the right therapist can be daunting. I would be happy to speak with you to discuss any concerns you may have and for us to see if we can work together.
Seeking help is a sign of strength and a step in the right direction to reclaiming your life. My hope is that together, we can explore your difficulties, gain insight and find solutions to help you feel better.

About me and my therapy practice
I am trained in a number of theoretical orientations and have significant experience as a clinical supervisor with both individuals and groups.
I have lectured for many years on level 3 counselling studies, level 4 counselling and psychotherapy and level 5 CBT courses.
I have supervised counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, health professionals and those in the helping professions. I have certificates in Advanced Supervision, Core Supervision, Therapeutic Supervision and IAPT Hi Intensity Supervision.
If any practitioners would like group supervision for up to 3 people I will offer a reduction in fees.
Additionally, I have supported practitioners who have been requested to attend the Coroners Court following the death of their client/patient from suspected suicide. If this is an area you would value further information or support please contact me.
I have a particular interest in suicide and risk. My doctoral thesis was entitled ‘Life after suicide: Psychotherapists and allied professionals speak about their experiences of working with suicidal clients and the impact it has on them if their client dies’. I have presented my research both nationally and internationally.
