About me and my therapy practice

I am a Senior BACP accredited counsellor and I am experienced working with adults, children, young adults, students and potential students. I have worked in schools, in a Counselling Centre, for charities, with EAP companies, Fostering Agencies and in my own practice.

I am also an EMDR trained counsellor.

Practice description

I work fundamentally in a psychodynamic way which is looking at your past, thinking about how it affects your present day and then considering any changes that you might want/ need to make for the future. Other methods of counselling may be integrated when appropriate into the work. I am led by the client exploring what is conscious and also helping bring out the unconscious. Dream work can also be an important part of the work. I am also trained in EMDR.

My first session

The first session gives us a chance to meet, to see if we want to work together and also to assess that counselling is the right course of action.

The cost is £45 per session

Sessions are usually 50 minutes but the first session may take a little longer.
