I usually see clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at The Next Chapter.
Due to the current pandemic, my hours are more flexible as I am offering virtual sessions (telephone or video call) from my home to avoid the spread of the virus.
About me and my therapy practice
I aim to build a trusting working relationship, from which we can observe and notice rather than judge what might be going on for you. We will work towards increasing your awareness of the options available to you, to help you make choices in the areas of life that are troubling you.
Originally from Germany, I have settled in Edinburgh in 2016 where I have opened my private practice. Though my training was completed in the English language, I am open to offering counselling in German.
More information about counselling, and about me can be found on my website: www.utecounselling.co.uk
There are many reasons to enter therapy. I have worked with clients at different stages in their lives, ranging from young adults looking to find a place and identity that feels right for them to older individuals struggling with current or past life events. I value diversity and welcome inquiries from all different backgrounds. Every client is unique.
My counselling experience includes working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, abuse and neglect, living with illness, loss and transitions, questions around identity, sexuality, and relationships. I also have an interest in pain, and how we carry it in our bodies.
My first session
Beginning counselling can be a challenging choice. I offer a space, in which we can explore this choice together, recognising what has led you to take this step, and what needs and hopes you might be bringing into the counselling room. I offer a reduced fee first session at £30, ongoing 50 minute sessions cost £50.
