About me and my therapy practice
While we are placed under lock down during the COVID-19 crisis, I am accepting new referrals for online and telephone counselling and therapy.
I am experienced in working with adults in talking therapy services, therapeutic communities, community mental health services and psychiatric hospitals.
I currently work for the Psychosis Therapy Project, a specialist service for people who experience psychosis, and a women-only community day service at Islington Mind.
I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of Salzburg (Austria) and a MSc in Counselling Psychology from City University London (UK). I currently study at the SITE for Contemporary Psychoanalysis (UK) and take a particular interest in Lacanian psychoanalysis.
My private practice is located in North London (N2) between East Finchley and Muswell Hill.
What I offer
Psychotherapy offers a unique space in which you can explore yourself during a moment in life that can feel confusing, overwhelming, hurtful or unsatisfying. In such moments, it can be helpful to introduce a space where you can hear and observe yourself in a different way.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help you to make sense of your current situation by considering the entirety of your past and present experience. I will listen to you in a specific way that privileges occurrences in your speech which can point us to unconscious wishes and beliefs. This approach can help you to gain more self-awareness, liberation and choice.
My role is to hold and protect this space for you, and to offer my professional experience in a way that supports you to create your own solutions. I will be fully dedicated to making this space useful for you by providing a curious, empathic and committed presence.
I work in English and German.
My first session
How to start
I offer initial meetings to discuss how we could work together.
We would discuss your current situation and motivation to seek therapy, and explore how that could be useful to you. We would then decide at the end of the session, or at an agreed time, whether we would like to start working together.
A first meeting usually lasts between 45-60 min and is charged at the same rate as a therapy session, starting from £45 per hour.
