About me and my therapy practice
The first step for someone coming for therapy is to have an initial meeting with me. I will listen carefully to what has brought them to seek therapy, discuss their needs and preferences, and answer questions they may have about how I work. Then I will think with them about the options, and seek to agree the way forward. That is often to continue in therapy with me, but if I am not the right match, I will try to provide information on other options that may be more suitable for the individual.
Psychotherapy is suited to people who wish to work in depth to understand their inner world. People come for therapy for many different reasons including relationship problems, loss, coping with illness, depression, anxiety, abuse or trauma. I see people once, twice or three times a week.
