About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Counsellor who is passionate about the possibility for change through counselling. My main approach is psychodynamic counselling which looks at how our past experiences may influence our present lives. I will work with you, exploring your thoughts and feelings to try and make sense of what is happening for you.
I believe that there are moments in life when we can all benefit from talking and being really listened to by another. For some this may be because there has been some specific event that is causing difficulty. For others it could be due to thoughts or feelings that are difficult to understand. I will listen with care and compassion to whatever you wish to talk about. No matter how big or small you may think your problem is; if you and your life are being affected by something, counselling can really help.
Before setting up my private practice I worked for a number of years as an Honorary Psychotherapist within the mental health team at Essex Partnership University NHS Trust. I have also worked as a Counsellor at Chelmsford Counselling Foundation.
I offer daytime and evening appointments from a tranquil consultation room in Chelmsford.
