About me and my therapy practice

Relationships can bring us feelings of safety, contentment and joy but they can also bring us disappointment, pain and sadness.

When we experience difficulties in relationships, whether through circumstance, the choices of others or death, we experience loss.

I work with loss in relationships:

  • Loss of family
  • Loss of parents
  • Loss of partners
  • Loss of childhood
  • Loss of confidence
  • Loss of self-worth
  • Loss of freedom
  • Loss of choices
  • Loss of opportunities
  • Loss of health
  • Loss of meaning
  • or any other kind of relational loss that you're experiencing.

I'm interested in how your upbringing has shaped you and shaped how you see yourself, others and the world. I'm interested in your values and beliefs. All of these, will have shaped how you understand and experience your loss.

I'm also very interested in existential ideas, which draw upon philosophy, where the themes of freedom, choice, responsibility and meaning are key. These themes will become present in our work together and will provide us with a guide to help navigate our way through your loss.

I work online and in-person from my therapy room in London, SE6.

My first career was in television production, working as a researcher on light entertainment programmes.

Practice description

I provide therapy on a weekly basis - online and in-person.

After you contact me, I'll arrange a brief phone call so I can find out a bit more from you and you can ask me any questions you may have.

We'll agree a mutually convenient day and time and this will be our session time for the duration of our work.

Working with me will give you a space to talk, reflect, explore and understand your feelings and experiences and find a new way of being with them.

My first session

Our first session give us both an opportunity to meet and for you to tell me more about your current situation. I will ask you questions about your current relationships, but I'm also interested in your upbringing and your family of origin as this will help me to understand you and your experiences in context.

You can also ask me any questions you may have and I will tell you how think I can help you.

Towards the end of the session, we will decide if we want to continue working together or if you'd prefer to have some time to think about it, you're welcome to do so and contact me later with your decision.
