About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist providing a professional and confidential service in a peaceful and safe environment in which you can explore your problems, your life or whatever it is that is affecting your well-being at this time.

The type of counselling that I offer aims to empower you so that you can work through your problems yourself. It facilitates and nurtures the inherent healing ability in you. I provide a safe space and therapeutic relationship that is conducive in helping you do this.

I also provide relationship counselling for couples.

I am a humanistic counsellor / psychotherapist, with a particular passion for the person-centred approach. I also draw on other theoretical approaches, modalities and techniques which enable me to tailor the way in which I work with you to most suit your needs. I may also bring in other techniques I’ve learned and experienced such as mindfulness, meditation, visualisation, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

About me and my therapy practice

I offer person-centred supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as other people across the helping professions to support their ongoing practice.

I also provide supervision for anyone requiring a space for reflective practice on their work, clients, professional and personal development.

My style is grounded in the humanistic modalities, in particular the person-centred approach but is greatly influenced by everything I have learned, experienced and continue to explore.

Practice description

I have 20 years’ experience as a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist. My practice includes working with individuals, couples, short- and long-term work, and EAP work.

I have had over 20 years’ experience in the business world of which many of them included the management and development of people, teaching, mentoring and support.

I have built up a private practice and have 10 years’ experience running a small business, navigating the ups and downs, successes and failures that this entails.

A supervision session is usually for 1.5 hours but can be longer as required by the client. 1.5 hours costs £60, 2 hours costs £80.

Sessions usually take place monthly but can be more frequent depending on the needs of the supervisee.
