About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can be daunting. I understand that it can be difficult to open up about the challenges in your life and to seek out help. I have been there myself.

I offer a supportive, confidential environment to explore whatever your concerns are. It is a safe space in which anything can be said without judgement. I do not seek to categorise or diagnose you. Indeed, I do not see you as broken, or in need of a cure as such. Life can be a struggle and I see my role as helping you to make sense of yours so that you can move forward and embrace life once more.

My way of working is gentle but challenging. Therapy is a collaborative journey and I believe that the most important element is a deeply caring, trusting relationship. I will listen and respond with care and compassion while supporting you to deepen your understanding of yourself and the issues you are facing.

And therapy is not just about alleviating suffering, confusion or pain. The challenges we face, however difficult, can also be tremendous opportunities for growth. Working through your struggles can be the start of a new beginning.

I provide an initial session free of charge, which will give us an opportunity to discuss your needs and expectations, and to decide whether to enter into therapy together. If you would like to enquire about an initial session, or if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
