About me and my therapy practice
I am a young persons' anxiety counsellor. I work with young adults, teenagers and autistic people who want to feel more confident, calm, less stressed and anxious in their lives.
I know how much of a big deal it is to reach out for counselling especially when you have anxiety, and I promise to make it as easy as possible for you to get the support you need.
We can talk about how you feel so that you feel really understood, use tools to control the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks, explore what's behind your anxiety, and look to improve the way you feel in a supportive and caring way.
When we work face to face, the therapy practice is a beautiful calming space in a quiet location off Muswell Hill Broadway.
There are comfy chairs and sofas, art materials, stress toys, and lots of plants to make you feel at ease.
My first session
In our first session we will meet for 50 minutes, and you can tell me about yourself, your current situation, and what you would like from a counsellor and counselling.
I will ask a few questions and it will also be an opportunity for you to ask me anything you would like to know about the process. I might show you one or two useful tools for reducing physical anxiety as something to take away from the session.
If you are under 18, you may want to come with a parent or guardian for the beginning of your first session, but you don't have to.
At the end of the 50 mnutes you can either book a regular weekly time, or have a think about whether I am the right counsellor for you.
It is so important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. This may mean that you need to have a few sessions before you decide, and that's ok too.
