About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. I believe counselling is a courageous choice as it can mean facing yourself to seek change. You may be lacking in confidence, and hurt or held back by your inner critic(s). Perhaps others have deeply & painfully impacted upon you, or/and your actions have effected another. Maybe you're noticing things just aren't right, you feel depressed, lifeless, or anxious and can't figure out why.Regardless of where you locate yourself, I trust you and your process.

Along this journey we work together to explore, and identify what can be healed or changed. Ultimately unearth the aspects of you standing on your own way. This can facilitate you to see your right direction. Though I acknowledge, it’s often not easy to connect with yourself and hear inner feelings, as relationships and society can mute this communication; as such, personal truth and your unique direction maybe a hidden path.

As your counsellor, I aim to experience a deep, genuine, compassionate understanding of you.  On receipt of this relationship you can journey towards better self connection - whereby following your unique path can hopefully begin.

Practice description

The therapy I provide is for individuals, couples, and groups, either remotely via, video link, phone, or at the counselling room, but always with 'you' the client at the heart.

I recognise life isn't always straightforward, difficulties and complications can make it hard for you (or) your relationship(s). Sometimes speaking to well meaning friends and family doesn't always help; this is when contacting a trained counsellor can be beneficial.

My first session

What is and why have an initial session?

I offer an initial 30-minute session, this can be face to face or via phone or video link. However, regardless of the platform of communication this is your chance to see if therapy with me is something you'd like to pursue.  It's also an opportunity for you to explore what you would like to achieve through therapy, as well as  have an insight into how I work. The counselling contract, including the boundaries and limitations of the sessions are also be explained. If you're happy to continue, we can find a mutually agreeable time and day to meet on a regular basis.

Finding Me:

If we meet virtually then I will send a Zoom link - although I am also happy to use Skype. If we meet at the counselling room then I'll send you exact location details following enquiry.
