About me and my therapy practice
I take an integrative approach to therapy, by which I mean looking to restore balance in our whole being by integrating the mind, body and spirit. If only one of these elements is out of kilter then we can experience pain in one form or another.
Pain is a wound’s way of expressing itself but if we give the wound the attention it is asking for to heal itself, then there will be no more pain to be expressed. We learn to accept this process for physical pain but we each have within us an inner spiritual strength that we can utilise when a psychological wound expresses itself in emotional pain.
In all my work I take a collaborative approach, with my role being that of a supportive, non-judgemental companion on another’s journey of self-discovery. So, rather than prescribing an external rescuing agent, I focus on listening to your inner healer, that latent power you have within you, to heal your emotional wound.
Sessions are normally 60 minutes in a comfortable, relaxed and confidential setting. The duration of sessions has flexibility to meet the unique requirements of each individual. Day and evening appointments up to 8.00pm are available.
