Availability

I am now combining working remotely with some face to face sessions. This hybrid model allows for the flexibility of remote working, with a possibility of an occasional 'checking in' session (usually monthly) which seems to works for many of my clients.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults who need support with negotiating a range of issues. I have training in Person Centred Counselling, Body Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and CBT and have experience working with clients over a number of years from a range of backgrounds. I have worked extensively with bereavement and loss, both privately and within the NHS.

My first therapy training was at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. I have an advanced diploma/MA in integrative counselling and psychotherapy from the Minster Centre in London, one of the UK's leading training institutions for contemporary integrative practice.

Previous to becoming a therapist I worked in organic horticulture. I have a particular interest in human relationship with the natural world.

Practice description

I work collaboratively to help you gain insight and awareness into what might be the blocks to living life how you would like to, and help identify your own resources for growth and greater connection with yourself and others.

My approach to therapy is relational. I view the relationship between therapist and client as a vital aid to growth and self-discovery. Thus, we may work together to uncover your innate resources and notice where there might be blocks to building healthy relationships.

I honour and celebrate difference and diversity in background, culture, spirituality and sexuality, and strive to create a space where you feel open to explore parts of self that have been hidden, and perhaps feel unacceptable.
